(Camassia leichtlinii ssp. leichtlinii)
White camas began to disappear from Washington state in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The decline was primarily caused by the settlement and agricultural development of the region, which occurred roughly during this period, replacing native prairies with farms, grazing land, and, later, urban development.
